1. MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear parents

We are rushing towards the end of term three. All teachers and learners are working hard to try and finish as much of the curriculum as possible. I want to thank everyone for their hard work and to parents for the support we are receiving from you at home. I am thankful to be the principal of an awesome community where we are working so well together.

Due to the Covid-19 regulations it is going to be impossible to have a normal AGM for the presentation of the budget and resolution on school fees for 2021. The finance committee of Generaal Beyers have a suggestion to facilitate the AGM. The suggestion is as follows. We will send the suggested budget with resolution to parents on paper. The letter will include a return slip where parents can indicate agreement or disagreement with the suggested budget and resolution. We will use the return slips to determine the outcome of the suggested budget and school fee resolution. If parents have different suggestions please do not hesitate to call Mr. Parker on 012 945 3680 and make different suggestions for the SGB to consider.

Report cards will be handed out as indicated in the program below. I urge parents to please come and collect your child’s report card. We have very few opportunities to interact with parents and we want to use the 22^nd and 23^rd to do just that. Please make arrangements to collect the report cards.

• BOODSKAP VAN DIE HOOF

Liewe ouers

Die kwartaal is besig om spoedig tot ‘n einde te kom. Ons onderwysers en leerders werk hard om soveel moontlik van die kurrikulum te voltooi. Ek wil u as ouers bedank vir die belangrike rol wat u speel in die ondersteuning van u kinders in hierdie ongewone tye. Ek is dankbaar om die hoof te wees van so ‘n ongelooflike gemeenskap van samewerking en ondersteuning.

Die Covid-19 regulasies maak dit onmoontlik om ‘n normale Algemene Jaarvergadering (AJ) te hou waar ons die begroting en die skoolgeldresolusie vir 2021 moet goedkeur. Die finansiële komitee van Generaal Beyers het die volgende voorstel vir die AJ. Die beheerliggaam sal die voorgestelde begroting en skoolgeldresolusie aan ouers op skrif uitstuur. Die brief sal dan ‘n afskeurstrokie bevat waarop u ‘n keuse moet uitoefen of u die begroting en resolusie vir 2021 aanvaar of nie aanvaar nie. Ons sal die terugvoer van die afskeurstrokies gebruik om die uitslag van die voorgestelde begroting en skoolgeldresolusie te bepaal. Indien u as ouer ‘n ander voorstel het om die AJ te fasiliteer skakel gerus mnr. Parker by 012 945 3680 en maak u voorstel vir die beheerliggaam om te oorweeg.

Ons deel rapporte uit op 22 en 23 Oktober soos hieronder vermeld. Ek doen ‘n beroep op ouers om asseblief reëlings te tref dat u die rapporte kan kom afhaal. Ons het min geleentheid gehad om met u kontak te maak hierdie jaar en sal u graag wil sien om die rapporte uit te deel.

The Phala competition is extended until Friday 6 November 2020.

They are so far the leaders in the competition. The class that collects the most money will receive a surprise at the end of the competition.

• ROOIBOK KOMPETISIE

Die Impala kompetisie is verleng na Vrydag 6 November 2020.

Baie geluk aan die volgende klasse:

2de Gr 1/1

3de Gr 4/4

Hulle is die voorlopers in die kompetisie. Daar wag n verrassing vir die klas wat die meeste geld ingesamel het.
